MicroMaps Interactive Map Software for Websites

The MicroMaps system is loaded with features which do not fall within a specific category. The following listing details other system configuration options.

Intro Screen
By default, when a user goes to your map system's URL the interactive map loads and then displays. As an option you can enable an Intro Screen to load and display first while your map loads in the background. Use the Intro Screen to inform visitors about what can be found on the map system, how to use it or make announcements.

Creating an Intro Screen is easy (fill in the blanks and upload your logo/banner and images) and the content can be updated as often as you need to. The elements for the Intro Screen are:

• Title
• Banner/Logo 468x60 pixels
• Left and Right Text Columns
• Left and Right Column Image (optional)

Terms & Conditions Screen & Footer Link
Enable to display a link on the footer of the system which when clicked on brings up a screen that displays your Terms & Conditions of Use and/or Privacy Policy.

Contact Footer Link
Enable to display a link on the footer of the system interface which when clicked on launches the user's email compose window already addressed to the email address specified. The textual description for the link displayed can also be specified, for example "Contact Us" or "Click Here to email us"

Search Engine Optimization
Specify Page Title, Meta Keywords and Meta Description which is embedded within the code of your system's default landing page.

Create HTML site maps at the touch of a button which list Maps, Categories, Sub Categories and Every Point of Interest. HTML Site Maps can be generated for a system or for an individual map within a system. Every Map and every Point-of-Interest has a unique URL so hyperlinks to these are already activated on HTML Site Maps.

Help and Tips
The entire Help and Tips system is editable. By default all of our systems Help and Rollover Tips are in English, you can use the editors to change the default content to another language or to create a help screen that more closely matches the intended use of your particular system.

Map Menu
If your system has more than one map then you can allow your users to switch between maps in two ways:

Tabs Menu - displays the map names on a horizontal ribbon across the top of the interface - click on a map name to switch to the map

Drop Down Menu - users select a map from a drop down list which appears in the upper left hand corner of the interface.

• Note that you can define the sort order of the maps for either menu described above.

Security
Restrict your system to only function from any one or more URLs. Enable Security and specify the domain name(s) from which the system will function. If someone copies your page code to display your map system on their URL, the system will not work.

Password Protection
For customers who need to deploy an interactive map system for internal use, MicroMaps has created the Password Protection feature. By enabling this feature, anyone who goes to the URL for the Map System will be presented with a login screen which requires a user name and password to be entered correctly in order to view and use the map system.

By restricting access to (only) users who have the proper credentials, clients can deploy interactive map systems containing information not intended for public or general access.
